Photographs of the M-1942 Anti-tank Gun

This section is dedicated to pictures of of the M-1942 anti-tank gun.  The pictures here are all authentic and were taken at the time the gun was in service.  We will put descriptions with as many of the pictures as we can so that a greater understanding of the M-1942 gun can be gained. As with many things on this site, we have very few pictures to show here, but more will be added as we acquire them.

  

 

 

A defensive gun position

These two pictures were taken of the same gun position.  The top picture shows the gun and crew as the photographer stood away from the gun, while the second shows the gun crew and some of the terrain behind them.

As the war went on, light anti-tank guns such as these became less effective.  Still, they offered some measure of protection against light and medium German tanks.
