Orders and Medals of the Russian Civil War (1917-1921)

        

In this section we will discuss the orders and medals of the Bolshevik Revolution.  Awards from both the Red and White forces will be presented when available, along with documents and other information about the medals.  It should be pointed out that there were very few awards issued by the Red Army during these difficult years, while the White army discontinued all Tsarist awards except for the St. George awards which had a long tradition as a bravery award.
