The Handle

Here we have several photographs of the M-1907 Bebut dagger's handle.  The first picture, on the upper right, shows a side view of the handle.  Also visible are two brass buttons.

The two pictures below show both sides of the dagger's handle.  Note that only one side of the dagger has the protruding buttons while the other side is flat.

Here is one final picture of the handle of the M-1907 dagger.  In it you can clearly see the two large brass buttons set into the handle of the weapon.  Their function is strictly ornamental.

Close-ups of Markings

In this section we have some close-up views of the markings found on the weapon.  The markings in the picture below are from the Zaltoust Arms factory (used only in the 1890's to 1917) followed by the year of the blade's manufacture - 1913 in this case.  The remaining markings on the brass part of the handle are probably regimental markings.  The marks on this one are: 2G.15AG.BN98

The Blade

Here are some pictures of the blade of the weapon.  The first is a simple overall view of the blade, but the one directly below shows a more three dimensional view of it as it meets the handle.

Along the blade there are two grooves that have been milled into it.  They add to the attractiveness of the weapon if nothing else.  You can see a better view of them in the bottom right picture.

The Scabbard

The scabbard of the M-1907 Bebut dagger is wood covered in brown leather.  Several brass pieces also adorn the scabbard.  One of these can be seen in the upper right picture.  The loop was where the weapon was to be hung on a lanyard from the belt of the wearer.  It has some interesting marks that you can see below.

The two pictures in the middle show both sides of the scabbard.  It is a fairly simple device for a simple weapon.

The remaining picture at the bottom right is a close up view of the markings found on the brass loop.  It is marked N98.  There are also several smaller numbers on the scabbard, but they are difficult to make out.  You can also see the retaining screw that holds the scabbard together in this picture.

The Scabbard Tip

These final pictures detail the tip of the dagger's  scabbard.  It is made of brass and tipped with a round bulb.  Below you can see both sides of the brass end piece (which has suffered a dent at sometime in its history).  Also visible in the bottom right picture is the faster clip that holds the piece to the rest of the scabbard.
